Landing from the jump at Tomac hill at the 1999 LA State Mountain Bike Championship. Finished second. Not bad for an old guy, ea? The bike is a GT LTS-1. Great bike but the rear suspension squeaked like hell. Changed to a Dean Titanium and went 5 minutes/lap faster. I love the Dean... The event was held in Ruston, La. There aren't any mountains in La, but this is a fantastic trail. They held the American Mountain Bike National Championships there the next year, where I finished fourth. I really miss that place. The park ranger was a mountain bike racer and the entire park was bike trails - and a small lake you could jump into after the ride.
